About the Maestro

Maestro Nick is a graduate of the Academie du Vin in Paris with additional tastings/study with wine legend Jon Winroth of the International Herald Tribune. He also earned a Masters in Mixology from the Harvard Bartending School, WSET level 1 certification, and is a member of both Les Amis du Vin and Chaine des Rotisseurs where he serves as the Vice Echanson and chairperson of the Charleston Mondiale Wine Club.. Nick has hosted wine tastings and wine dinners and has been associated with several wine clubs for decades. He is also currently an Associate Manager for Scout and Cellar clean-crafted wines.

Nick holds an AB degree from Harvard College, an MM degree from the New England Conservatory of Music and a DMA degree from the University Of Iowa. Maestro Nick is currently music director of the North Charleston Pops! (SC), Altoona Symphony (PA), Evenings Under the Stars Orchestra (MA) and a frequent guest conductor for recording projects with the London Philharmonic at the Abbey Road Studios in London. His 30+ year career includes guest conducting orchestras throughout the USA and in Germany, Switzerland, Moldova, Italy, Bolivia, Columbia, and Mexico. He recently recorded three CDs with the famed London Philharmonic at the Abbey Road Studios in London, which have won both Billboard and Gramophone awards.

Nick and his wife Dorothy have four sons and reside on Johns Island near Charleston, South Carolina.
